When long time Read Island resident, Jim Dyck, sold his island property, he was looking for a way to give back to the island that gave him so many good times throughout his time here. 

  His generous donation in remembrance of MaryAnne Moss was dedicated to a community project that would bring the community together and foster a deep love and respect for nature.
